Fares Ahmed was born on the 26th of July, 1959 in the Al-Helmiya neighborhood which is one of the inveterate districts. It is full of Fatimid architecture which inspired Ahmed in his artworks starting from painting Cairo’s ancient scenes with its buildings, Mashrabiyas, the ancient giant gates, colorful glass windows, people, and vibes. Many of his holdings are with individuals in Egypt, KSA, and the USA. Many others are in several museums, like the Contemporary Egyptian Art Museum, the Armed Forces Museum, the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and Majdanek Museum in Poland.
