Muyiwa Akinwolere (born 1976) is a contemporary Nigerian artist based in Badagry. His work has evolved from early explorations of Yoruba mythology to contemporary social commentary on migration, inequality, and power. Known for a unique process using antique ink (his signature medium), oil, acrylic, dyes, metals, and recycled materials. His journey began in Osogbo, influenced by the Osogbo Art School and the work of Susanne Wenger. Specific works are also inspired by masters like Van Gogh and Picasso.
